Dr. Ada Yenson Lee earned her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Purdue University, Indiana, before pursuing her Graduate-Entry Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine at University College Dublin. With a strong foundation in both animal sciences and veterinary medicine, she brings a well-rounded perspective to patient care.

Her professional experience includes working in a veterinary clinic closely affiliated with various animal shelters, where she developed expertise in handling and treating stray animals. She has worked extensively with CCCP (Community Cat Care Program) & TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) volunteer carers, giving her a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by community animals and their caregivers.

Dr. Lee has a keen interest in nutrition, research, genomics, and geriatric care. She believes in a client- and patient-centered approach, advocating for fear-free practices and a holistic outlook on pet well-being. She enjoys discussing every aspect of pet care with owners, from diet and environmental management to behavioral enrichment.

Her dedication to patient comfort goes beyond the usual—once, while caring for a stressed boarding cat, she discovered that the pet's owner spoke Dutch to her cat at home. To help the cat feel more at ease, Dr. Lee took the initiative to learn basic Dutch phrases like "good girl" and "good cat" using Google Translate’s text-to-speech feature. Small gestures like this reflect her deep commitment to making animals feel safe and understood.

Outside of work, Dr. Lee has always been passionate about animal welfare. As a teenager and during her early college years, she volunteered with Hong Kong Dog Rescue, assisting with feeding, grooming, and walking dogs. She found particular joy in bonding with their “red zone” dogs—those who were fearful or reactive—because earning their trust was an incredibly rewarding experience.

Dr. Lee is fluent in English and Cantonese, and for fun, she even knows how to say "come," "sit," and "good boy/girl" in Finnish—a skill that has yet to be tested on actual Finnish dogs!

In her free time, she enjoys martial arts, digital artwork, video production, board games, and volunteering with Hong Kong’s wild animal rescue center. She also loves spending time with her two dogs—Baby, a Corgi-Spitz cross, and Honey, an adorable mongrel with one ear up and one ear down.
